Entrances
The Savacentre
shopping centre has four main entrances, all leading from car parks.
Entrance from underground
car park.
There are 6 Blue Badge holders parking spaces near the entrance. The
entrance has a set of electronically
operated doors. There is a significant two tier slope up to the shopping
level.
Entrance from main uncovered
car park
There are 5 Blue
Badge holders parking spaces to the right of the enterance to the underground
car park. These spaces
are on an incline and there is a significant slope round to the main
entrance. This entrance
has four sets of double doors with the
centre pair electrically operated.
Entrance from small uncovered
car park
There are two car parks adjacent to this entrance. One is situated
across the road with 12 Blue Badge holders parking spaces. This car park can
get abused by non badge holders as it is near the food outlets. The
other car park is on the same side as the Savacentre with approx. 14
spaces. This car park is on a significant slope.
Entrance from multi storey
car park
The car park has 5 levels with two Blue Badge holders parking spaces,
adjacent to the entrance doors on each level.
Entry to the Savacentre
via the first level is through three sets of double doors, one manual
and two electrically operated. Entry to the Savacentre via the other
levels is by using lifts and then two sets of electrically operated
doors.
Alternatively, entry on the first and third levels can be made through
Marks & Spencers. This entry point is via a slight ramp and two
sets of electrically
operated doors.
Disabled Persons Toilets
There are three Disabled persons' toilets in the Savacentre. One
situated in the food hall. Another is situated centrally in between
Wallis and Barretts Shoes (through a set of electrically operated doors)and
the third is on the first floor (Restaurant) of the Savacentre.
All are operated by the "Radar Key System". For those who
don't have personal copies of the Radar Key, there are copies lodged
with Morelli's by the central ramp, with the table staff in the food
hall and with the restaurant staff on the first floor of the Savacentre.
All toilets offer similar facilities. The toilets situated in the food
hall and the first floor of the Savacentre offer transfers from the
right whilst the toilet between Wallis and Barretts offers transfers
from the left.
