Disabled Persons Toilets
There are three Disabled persons' toilets in the Savacentre.
One situated in the food hall.
Another is situated centrally
in between Wallis and Barretts Shoes (through a set of electrically operated
doors)
The third is on the first floor
(Restaurant) of the Savacentre.
All are operated by the "Radar Key System". For those who don't
have a personal RADAR Key, there are copies lodged with Morelli's by the
central ramp, with the table staff in the food hall and with the restaurant
staff on the first floor of the Savacentre.
All toilets offer similar facilities. The toilets situated in the food
hall and the first floor of the Savacentre offer transfers from the right
whilst the toilet between Wallis and Barretts offers transfers from the
left.

Spacious Disabled Persons toilet is provided, offering transfer from the
left only, which is situated in
a public convenience block opposite the Medway Adult Education Centre.
Operates the RADAR Key scheme. For those who do not have a personal RADAR key,
one is kept in the Dickens Centre Shop.
Northgate
The Disabled Persons
toilet is situated in Northgate and is operated by the "Radar Key
System"
The toilet offers transfer
from the left. The cubical floor area is not the most generous.
The Golden Lion (Pub/Restaurant)
Rochester High
Street.
Spacious Disabled Persons toilet
is provided, offering transfer from the right only, which is situated
at the rear of the upper seating area (accessible by a ramp). Operates
the RADAR Key scheme. For those who do not have a personal RADAR key, one is
kept at the bar.
Cathedral Tea Rooms *
The Cathedral tea rooms has
a toilet for disabled people, operated by a Radar Key. If visitors do
not have their own personal RADAR key, one is kept in the Tea Rooms. The toilet
only offers transfer from the left.
NB.
The route
to the tea rooms and the toilet for disabled people is
through an archway which is punctuated by four "speed humps".
These have a slight upstand and will stop a wheelchair dead, unless tilted
back. They also are fairly tall with no space to navigate around. Some
wheelchair users may find great difficulty in accessing the toilet because
of these.
